Stephanie Rhein

Stephanie_Rhein

St. Ignatius of Antioch Parish School

As Stephanie Rhein grew up, she always knew she wanted to spend her life helping people. With early dreams of becoming a doctor, Ms. Rhein developed a passion for learning and soon realized that helping someone heal and helping someone learn were not only equally important, but also, equally fulfilling. And so, she followed the path to become a teacher.

During her first year at St. Ignatius of Antioch Parish School in Yardley, Ms. Rhein has fully committed herself to her students, applying her trademark passion to her work every day with her 5th and 6th grade students. As a 6th grade homeroom teacher and 5th grade Math and Religion teacher, she also strives to keep her classrooms fun. And while the classroom is a serious place, Ms. Rhein believes that creating a unique atmosphere with laughter and smiling goes a long way in reaching educational goals.

Ms. Rhein is also a firm believer that her students will show excitement to learn if she demonstrates equal excitement for teaching. She is a teacher who is heavily vested into students’ progress, and her children know it. They easily pick up on her dedication and motivation for them to succeed.

Regardless of the subject, Ms. Rhein’s teaching philosophy is grounded with two-way communication. She insists that her secret to successfully teaching is open communication with students. It creates an atmosphere of mutual respect and allows students to openly discuss issues and problems they may encounter. She believes that listening is critical to her job just as much as teaching.

Outside of the classroom, Ms. Rhein loves to travel and read. This is an extension of her commitment to learning. She loves to travel to new places to learn more about different cultures and countries. Her love of reading also allows her to learn about new ideas, places and people. Aside from those hobbies, she also enjoys running. She finds this to be the best time to be alone and reflect on life. She has involved her students in her love for running by creating the Running Club at St. Ignatius. Every Friday, students meet to run around, have fun and just relax with each other as they ease into the weekend.

Ms. Rhein is truly a teacher in love with the art of teaching.
