Marie Zebraski
Mother of Divine Providence
As a child, Marie Zebraski would come home and spend her afternoon teaching her dolls what she had learned at school that day. Now, 44 years into her teaching career, it’s easy to say that Ms. Zebraski’s childhood imagination paid dividends. She has had made a living imparting her knowledge on hundreds and hundreds of “real-life” students, whom she claims have enriched her life with their character and drive.
“They are respectful, diligent and always willing to help,” says Ms. Zebraski of her students. “Their enthusiasm is infectious. While there are so many different personalities and a wide range of ability levels in each class, the students are very accepting of each other and display a spirit of inclusion, which will serve them well in their lives.”
Ms. Zebraski teaches Religion and Social Studies to sixth through eighth graders. In both subjects, she strives to teach her students to make the right choices as they prepare for life’s challenges ahead. Ms. Zebraski guides her students as they develop moral and spiritual values.
In the course of her career at Mother of Divine Providence, Ms. Zebraski has built a reputation as a passionate and dedicated teacher. Through her time there, she has coached cheerleading, served as a curriculum coordinator for various subjects, overseen the school’s yearbook, coordinated the Living Stations of the Cross and held the role of Assistant Principal. In her spare time, she likes reading, going to the beach, shopping and taking care of her home.
