St. Alphonsus School

Now in her second year at St. Alphonsus School, Mrs. Speese is a true “natural” at integrating technology in the everyday curriculum—as demonstrated by her recent participation in the IBM Reading Companion’s program. As part of the program, Mrs. Speese worked with students in developing and creating children’s books. IBM supported the students’ efforts with tech applications, a visit by an IBM children’s author, and a special section previewing the students’ work on the IBM Ready Literacy website. Mrs. Speese is also actively involved with the school’s Anti-Bullying program where she works tirelessly with the administration and faculty to spread awareness on this issue and eliminate bullying.
