GRADUATE: Archbishop Ryan High School

Archbishop Ryan High School was the launching pad for Captain Christopher J. Ferguson’s remarkable career. With an M.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School, Ferguson is an Navy Strike/Flight Air Medal recipient, as well as a recipient of both the Navy Commendation and Navy Achievement Medals. In September 2006, Ferguson served as pilot of the Space Shuttle Atlantis on a special construction mission to the International Space Station. During the 12-day mission, Ferguson and his fellow crewmembers delivered and installed the massive P3/P4 truss segment and two sets of solar arrays providing one quarter of the station’s power. Next September, Ferguson will return to space leading a crew of seven on a 15-day supply mission to the International Space Station.
