FACE
The FACE Program: Fostering Awareness of Catholic Education is a unique public awareness program sponsored by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Office of Catholic Education. Dedicated to raising awareness of the many academic and personal benefits a Catholic education offers, the FACE Program is comprised of nearly 200 high school students, each of whom is enrolled in one of the 20 Archdiocesan Secondary Schools in and around Philadelphia.
FACE students serve as representatives of the more than 80,000 young people enrolled in Catholic schools throughout the region. Each student has been selected as a “FACE” by his or her school President, and is responsible for a number of projects throughout the year that will highlight the real-life experience available in our schools--including keeping up his/her own schools’ FACE website, appearing at events throughout the region, and spreading the word about Catholic education by example.
While our Secondary Schools are as diverse as the students who attend them, all offer the right mix of passionate teachers, challenging class work and extra-curricular activities to ensure that every student is primed for the next step in life. The FACE Program’s goal is to communicate what is special about an education in these schools through our most compelling spokespeople: our students.
