College Scholarships and Graduation Rates

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia is fully committed to ensuring the success of our students as they prepare to take the next step from high school to higher education. Our high schools’ students consistently achieve excellent academic results and many go on to attend some of the nation’s finest colleges and universities. Here are a few statistics regarding college enrollment and scholarships in the Archdiocese:

Graduation Statistics

  • Over 92% of the Archdiocesan high schools’ Class of 2010 is attending college, compared to 83% of public school students in the five-county areas.

College Scholarships

  • The total scholarship amount awarded to the Archdiocesan high schools’ Class of 2011 was over $270 million, the highest total ever for the 17 schools.
  • Since the turn of the century, Archdiocesan students from 17 high schools have received over $1 billion in scholarships.
